Earnings Rate Does Not Exist when Uploading

Background

When uploading timesheets to Xero, you may find this error even after the file has been successfully validated. 

The reason for this is that Xero does not allow us to tell if an Earnings Rate is inactive and so the error is only revealed at the time of upload.


How do I fix it?

You can either:

1) Activate the Earnings Rate in Xero and revalidate your file; or

2) Remove any references to the inactive Earnings Rate in your upload file and upload again; or

3) Leave the Earnings Rate inactive in Xero, but append the word 'inactive' to the start. This will allow UpSheets to know it is inactive and exclude it during any validation. For example, if your Earnings Rate 'Overtime' was inactive, change it to 'inactive Overtime'. 


Option 3 is our preferred solution, but depending on what you are trying to accomplish the first two options may also be valid.
